Lie Que (LU7) for general cough, Zhao Hai (KI6) to nourish Yin, and Lian Quan (CV23) for a dry, ticklish throat. Gentle home press alongside prescribed care.
In brief
Three points often used for cough self-care: LU7 on the forearm for Lung descending and early wind, KI6 below the inner ankle to moisten a dry throat, and CV23 above the hyoid for a constricted tickle. Press gently. This is educational, not a treatment for acute illness.
Routine
On the radial forearm, about 1.5 cun (two finger-widths) above the wrist crease, in a small depression between the tendons. Circle gently for one minute. LU7 is a go-to for Lung descending, early wind (chills, body aches), and the nape and head as a command point.
On the inner ankle, in the depression directly below the tip of the medial malleolus. Circle gently for one minute. KI6 is used as a cooling reservoir for dry, unproductive cough, scratchy throat, night sweats, and a tired-but-wired mind.
On the midline of the neck, in the depression just above the hyoid bone (the small bone at the top of the Adam’s apple area). Press gently for 30 seconds only. CV23 is a local throat point for stubborn phlegm and a constricted tickle. Ease off if swallowing feels wrong.

FAQs
LU7 is the general cough point. Add KI6 when the cough is dry and the throat feels parched. Use CV23 briefly for a local tickle. You do not need all three every time.
Once or twice a day is a common educational habit. Keep the press kind. If the cough lasts more than three weeks, book a consult rather than adding more home pressure.
