Tai Chong (LR3) and Shen Men (HT7) settle stress-linked gut swings. San Yin Jiao (SP6) and Yin Ling Quan (SP9) support Spleen damp when stools turn loose. Use with the constipation points when your physician has named IBS.
In brief
Four points often added for IBS self-care: LR3 on the top of the foot between the first and second metatarsal bones, HT7 on the wrist crease, SP6 above the inner ankle, and SP9 below the inner knee. Circle each kindly for about one minute. Skip strong SP6 pressure in pregnancy. Pair with constipation points when stools swing both ways.
Routine
On the top of the foot, in the depression between the first and second metatarsal bones. Circle for one minute each side. LR3 is used when stress tightens the gut (太冲 Tai Chong; not “Zhi Chong”).
On the palmar wrist crease, radial to the flexor carpi ulnaris tendon. Circle gently for one to two minutes when anxiety sits with bowel swings.
On the inner lower leg, about four finger-widths above the tip of the medial malleolus, just behind the shin bone. Circle kindly. Avoid strong SP6 pressure in pregnancy unless a physician has advised it.
On the inner leg, in the depression below the medial tibial condyle, where the shin meets the knee line. Circle for one minute each side when damp diarrhoea or heaviness is part of the picture.

Self-press tips are educational, not personal medical advice. Seek urgent care for bloody stools, black stools, high fever, or severe abdominal pain.
FAQs
LR3 and HT7 are often used when stress drives either swing. SP6 and SP9 lean toward damp, looser stools. For dry constipation, favour the constipation press sets and moistening food, and let a physician confirm.
SP6 strongly influences the lower abdomen and pelvic channels. Strong home pressure is usually avoided in pregnancy unless a physician guides it.
