In brief
In TCM, difficulty falling asleep with a restless mind often sits with Heart and Shen unsettled. Dreamful Sleep Tea uses 5 g polygala root, 3–5 pieces of ophiopogon tuber, and about 10 spine date seeds with 500 ml boiling water for ten minutes. Sip warm. Educational food therapy, not a substitute for an insomnia consult.
Recipe
Place 5 g polygala root, 3–5 pieces of ophiopogon tuber, and about 10 spine date seeds in a heatproof cup or small teapot.
Pour 500 ml boiling water over the herbs. Cover and steep for ten minutes.
Add honey to taste once the liquid has cooled slightly below about 60°C, if using.
Drink warm. Use about 3–5 evenings a week when falling asleep feels hard, then ease off if sleep settles.

Polygala root (Yuan Zhi) 5 g, ophiopogon tuber (Mai Dong) 3–5 pieces, and about 10 spine date seeds (Suan Zao Ren), steeped ten minutes in 500 ml boiling water. Honey is optional once the cup has cooled slightly.
Educational use when falling asleep is hard and the mind feels unsettled or racing. It is not the same cup as Mind Relaxing Tea for 1–3am waking with Liver heat, or bitter lotus plumule tea for Heart fire with forehead heat.
About 3–5 evenings a week is the usual educational habit from the kitchen recipe. Ease off if sleep settles, or if you feel chilled, bloated, or stools loosen. It is not a nightly medicine dose.
No. If there's any chance of pregnancy, don't use this. Polygala and the full blend need physician guidance outside ordinary kitchen use.
